Advance Praise for Gardening with Grandma

“Even young children can and should be taught about dementia. Gardening with Grandma is a valuable tool for helping children understand brain change, and empowering them with effective responses.”

Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, Founder of Positive Approach to Care

Gardening with Grandma teaches children that their compassion can truly make a difference. My young son found many ways to interact with his Grandma while she struggled with Alzheimer’s, and he finds many nice ways to engage with his dad who has early-onset Alzheimer’s. Love always remains, and this wonderful book reinforces that. It’s a must read.”

Pam K., wife, mother, and family caregiver

“The end of the the book is extraordinary with the guide on how to initiate the conversation and explain Alzheimer’s to children. I meet so many families who keep kids and grandkids away from their loved ones with Alzheimer’s to shield them from the pain of the disease without realizing how that prevents everyone involved from sharing their love as long as they can. Gardening with Grandma is the perfect resource to help entire families navigate this disease with love.”
